On XX/XX/2022, I received a visit from XXXX XXXX of the XXXX XXXX Inspection division. He proceeded to tell me that no one is authorized to live in the house ( I moved into the house XX/XX/2022 after closing ) at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX due to the failure of the builder to obtain the required certificate of occupancy. He proceeded to tell me that there are foundation issues with the house and that they were never repaired. A final inspection was to be done after the repairs were completed. XXXX XXXX was never contacted. I paid Van Dyke {$9100.00} to process my loan and make sure everything was clear for me to purchase the home. I also paid XXXX {$120000.00} as a down payment. I learned from the inspector that the house has foundation issues ; I would never have bought this house if I had known about this. I was told by the lender, XXXX XXXX, that the title company they hired made this error. I contend that it is the responsibility of the mortgage company to ensure that my interests are protected and that the necessary documents are submitted for closing. I wish XXXX had scrutinized themselves as much as they scrutinized me, if they had done their job, I would not be in this position today. Im XXXX XXXX XXXX and should not have been taken advantage of in this way.
