On XX/XX/2022, Hunt & Henriques LLP, a debt collector, sent me a letter attempting to collect an alleged debt they alleged I owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX. ( ATTACHMENT A ) On XX/XX/2022, Hunt & Henriques received my request for debt validation via certified mail ( ATTACHMENT B ). My response included a notarized AFFIDAVIT OF TRUTH ( ATTACHMENT C ) where I asked Hunt & Henriques ( debt collector ) to validate and verify the alleged debt according to my rights as a consumer. I also served them a notarized Cease or Desiste Notice ( ATTACHMENT D ) to inform them to stop all communications or attempts to collect his debt ( which I was in fact disputing ) until they have fulfilled my request for debt validation and verification. I also requested that they provided answers, point by point, to the affidavit I provided them with. This is so I can ascertain that this is in fact a debt I owed. On XX/XX/2022, Hunt & Henriques LLP sent me a notice ( ATTACHMENT E ) that did not comply with my lawful request for debt validation, verification and did not answer or rebutted any of the additional information I requested in the AFFIDAVIT I sent them on XX/XX/XXXX. Their response only included a COPY of a bank statement, and did not properly verify and validate the alleged debt. Fact, I, the affiant, am aware that an unrebutted affidavit stands as truth in commerce. On XX/XX/2022, Hunt & Henriques LLP, sent me a notice ( ATTACHMENT F ) threatening to start legal action against me for the alleged debt they FAILED TO VALIDATE and VERIFY despite the fact that I have, in fact, disputed such alleged debt. According to the CFPB, a debt collector must stop any attempts to collect debt until they have properly verified the alleged debt. This is not only an infringement of my rights as a consumer, but also a violation of the Cease and Desist notice they received via certified mail on XX/XX/2022.
