This complaint is with regard to TransUnion LLC. I tried to get my free credit report online on XX/XX/XXXX. I was denied and was informed that I would have to submit written proof and photocopied documents to the company in order to get my report. The time involved, the materials that I would have to gather and copy, and the postage cost does not make this annual report free. It has become instead a great inconvenience. Needless to say, I won't be sending these materials in the U.S. Mail, where they could be intercepted, stolen, or lost. My complaint is that my husband was able to get his free report online from TransUnion a couple of days earlier. We have lived in our current home for the past twelve years. Our shared financial accounts date back to XXXX. In past years, I have had no problem with TransUnion and receiving a free report online. Why now does it no longer work with TransUnion?
