On XX/XX/2022 a deposit was made into my account in the amount of " {$3800.00} ''. The amount was held and processed for XXXX days, im assuming for verification and then released partially on XX/XX/2022 in the amount of " {$220.00} '' then on XX/XX/2022 for the remaining amount of " {$3600.00} '' totalling to the full check amount. After the full check was released and credited to my checking account on XX/XX/2022, I made payments towards any bills I owed. " In good faith '' I might add. The following day, XX/XX/2022 ; without any notification from my bank, my check was reversed leaving my account overdrawn " - {$1900.00} ''. At this point I attempted to contact my bank on XX/XX/2022 to figure out what is happening and it was stated by the representative that I spoke to that the funds are not properly payable due to duplicate presentment of the check and the representative went on to apologize that it was the banks mistake for releasing the funds prior to verifying of the check was payable. He then went on to instruct me to call the bank who issued the check to me. On XX/XX/2022 After contacting the bank who issued the check to me, they explained that it was also a mistake on their part for releasing this physical check to me. Both banks said I am liable for their mistakes.
