I has an account with XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and paid the account in full a few months later. The company came back later to indicate I still owed money and when I refused to pay because I had evidence that the bill was paid in full, they reported that I was late to the XXXX credit bureaus. To avoid further impact to my credit report I paid the money. In XXXX of XXXX, I received a letter and a check from the FTC indicating that According to the FTC 's complaint, XXXX engaged in numerous deceptive or unfair practices, including : falsely advertising that it would accept payments by credit or debit cards failing to properly and timely credit payments made by check providing deceptive payoff quotes to customers trying to collect more money than the quoted payoff amount and making unauthorized charges to customers ' bank accounts. When I reported a dispute to all 3 credit bureaus to have the missing payment information removed from my credit report based on the FTC information I received, but all 3 came back to indicate that XXXX indicated the information is correct, rather than take into consideration the FTC notice which I have file several complaints with multiple agencies about XXXX practices and the inaccurate information on my credit report. I want the information corrected by all 3 credit reporting agencies because the FTC has proven that XXXX XXXX practices have impacted my credit ratings.
