On XXXX XXXX XXXX pulled my credit report ( XXXX ) XXXX received an alert from XXXX XXXX who alerted this inquiry. I place a Fraud Alert on my credit report back in XX/XX/XXXX. I never applied for credit with that bank ( never heard of them ). I filed a police report too on XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Avant customer service and explained the fraud and not to issue credit because I never applied. I also asked them to expunge the inquiry and I emailed their fraud dept too. They said they would contact their fraud dept and some one would be in touch within 10 days. No one contacted me so I called back and they said they emailed me the required paper work but I never received it. They said they would send it again but again I never received it. They would not give me a telephone number to their fraud dept and they had no supervisor that I could talk to. I then contacted XXXX to get involved and sent them a copy of my police report and letter explaining what happed and what I wanted. As of today, the inquiry is still on my report and i have received no information from Avant on if an account was opened and why they didnt contact me with the fraud alert on my credit report.
