A Hard Inquiry appeared on my credit report on XX/XX/2022 from Citizens Bank. I called them the very next day and spoke to someone in the fraud department. They ran my social security number into their system and didn't find any new applications or cards in my name. They said I could write a letter and they will investigate further. I also disputed the inquiry twice with XXXX and both times their report was that it was a truthful inquiry. I called XXXX myself a couple days later and asked them what information they were receiving from Citizens Bank that made them think it was truthful but they only said they would send me a copy of my credit report. So they weren't very helpful.
