I was notified by my credit monitoring service that a debt collection was added to my report. This is for a debt owed to an energy/gas company based out XXXX, TX called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I contacted the company who would not speak to me about this without me providing my social security number. I then contacted the debt collection agency, Credit Systems, who then told me I must file a police report and send it to them. I live in a rural area who does not file reports for out of town fraud. A XXXX, TX address is now listed on my credit report as one of my addresses. I have never lived outside of my small area in Alabama and the energy company listed does not provide any services in this area. I do not have any affiliations in Texas. I have never received a phone call or written notification about a debt that is now on my credit report of {$540.00}.
