Paid card off in full for {$440.00} on XXXX XXXX Representative claims late fees have racked up and I owe over {$210.00} as of XX/XX/2022. Called a family member and lied to them saying I listed them as a reference. No references were required for this card. After learning this, I called and was told about the balance, but was told it was late fees and they would be waved on XX/XX/XXXX. I did a follow up call on XX/XX/XXXX and was told to wait until XX/XX/XXXX for the waived fees to finish processing. Called back on XX/XX/XXXX and was told the fees would not be waived and that there were no notes in the system and the confirmation number I gave was nowhere in the system. I was told it would be a few days before they could review the phone calls and see if someone did actually say they would wave the late fees on these calls. After saying this was unacceptable, the call was escalated and they are saying I am required to pay at least {$67.00} of these late fees that were slipped in after I paid off the card to a XXXX balance. They also told me they will keep attaching late fees to the {$210.00} on the account, including for this month.
