In XXXX of XXXX I found that I was a victim of identify theft when I was displaced from my job and had to file for unemployment. EDD notified me that someone from XXXX CA had filed for unemployment twice during the pandemic. At that time I contacted all three of the Credit Bureaus to place a freeze on my credit. Yesterday I received two letters from XXXX XXXX that my application had been successfully withdrawn. I contacted XXXX to find out that two applications were withdrawn and one was pending. Non of these had I applied for. I tried to sign into my Experian account and the system would not let me, I choose forgot my password and saw that Experian was sending a reset to a email address that was not mine. I immediately called Experian to find that someone was able to remove the freeze I had placed, change my user name and email address. They informed me that there were five Experian accounts in my name with only one that was active. Not a user name I had set up. I can only imagine that this person could run my Experian credit report and have all of my credit information. Please advise what should be my next steps. Thanks, XXXX XXXX e-mail= XXXX XXXX
