Consumer Narrative

Promised Credit Revoked XXXX XXXX, who is my lender with Van Dyke, had initially told me that he would give me a {$1400.00} credit to earn my business. I received a {$430.00} credit and when I pointed this out, he said each deal is different and he was not able to give me the credit on the new contract. The house prior ( which fell thru ) was $ XXXX compared to the contact on the next house that cost $ XXXX. I feel like he knew I was not shopping around for the best deal any longer so he didnt have to give me the promised credit. Application Expiration by Van Dyke After forwarding the contract on the new home purchase, my lender ( XXXX XXXX ) proceeded to lock in the interest rate. He then told me that my application had expired and he could not lock in the rate because he would have to run my credit. XXXX knew I kept a credit freeze on my accounts and that it takes time to lift a freeze. XXXX said he was leaving for the day and he would have to handle that evening. I contacted XXXX that evening because my credit had not been accessed. He said it was still frozen, to which I sent him the confirmation lift ; the freeze had been lifted for hours. He then proceeded to run my credit. According to XXXX the market had two increases that day and I was charged {$3000.00} in points due to this mistake of Van Dyke which was {$620.00} more than the previous quote of {$2300.00} in points. I contend that it was the companies responsibility to monitor my credit application status with their company and I should not have been charged more because they mishandled my application.
