Sending Equifaxs response to my recent complaint. I submitted a police report along with a identity affidavit for fraudulent inquiries that were not removed from an identity theft case I submitted back in XXXX. The CFPB is supposed to be advocating on my behalf but is allowing Equifax to break the law By the FCRA law, when identity theft is reported the credit bureau is either supposed to suppress the information or delete it. It is not on the victim to report it to every creditor. The credit bureau is supposed to work for the consumer, not the creditor, I provided the information & reported it to them
