I have a personal credit card with Capital One Bank. I made a credit card payment on XX/XX/22 for {$280.00} from my Capital One checking account. The bank has placed a 26 day hold on my payment. I have no access to credit on my account. I have no ability to pay for food and gas. They should be able to verify that the funds have been withdrawn from my Capital One Checking account since its the same bank. I called the customer service line for 45 minutes. When I finally spoke to a manager he said he does not have the authority to release the 26 day credit card payment hold. I asked him to escalate my complaint to someone else who has the authority and he said there is no one else. He could not provide me with a good reason as to why my payment has a 26 day hold. He just said that the system places a hold because I made multiple payments within a short period of time. This is ludicrous. This is wrong. Please help me.
