I attended Lincoln TechXXXXXXXX XXXX in XXXX and I only took out a {$1700.00} loan via XXXX and I did not receive a pell grant. In XXXX, I consolidated all of my loans, including the XXXX loan from Lincoln tech. 10 years later, a debt collector started to garnish my wages for that loan and claimed that I owe {$7000.00}. When I contacted Lincoln Tech for proof, the said they couldnt find my paperwork because its been so long and that my file was sent to XXXX XXXX. The judge was no help when I went to court. This year, I saw on the news that XXXX was apart of a settlement and loan borrowers would receive notice, but I didnt receive anything. It also states that I took out a pell grant for that school but that is not true. I would like to know what my next steps would be because I didnt receive a letter saying I was apart of the XXXX settlement. The school is fraudulent Igor along with their debt collector and I would like to know how to sue and why I wasnt apart of the settlement.
