I called my banks and credit unions to see what the current rates are and to get information of obtaining a pre-approval. I was told that my rates would me higher due to my credit XXXX. I pulled my credit les from XXXX, XXXX, and Equifax and found that someone has been using my identity to obtain credit from several creditors. These creditors include the US Department of Education ( {$110000.00} for was looks like student loans ), XXXX XXXX XXXX ( {$20000.00} ), XXXX XXXX XXXX ( {$21000.00} ), XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( {$30000.00} ), XXXX XXXX XXXX ( {$5200.00} ), and XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX ( {$490.00} ). Also within my credit les, I found furnished information ( names, addresses, phone numbers ) that do not belong to me.
