I started receiving a bill from XXXX XXXX in XXXX of 2022. I thought it was spam mail so I ignored it because I monitor my credit and none of the three bureaus were reporting a XXXX XXXX account in my name. After 3 months my credit dropped over 100 points due to the XXXX XXXX showing up on my credit with no payment made on XXXX XXXX worth of charges. I don't understand how a fraudulent card/account was opened in my name and not receive a 'ping ' from XXXX XXXX or any of the bureaus like I usually do when I authentically open up a credit card account. I also never received the card, only the bill. How can someone open up a credit card fraudulently and a company mail the card to another address in another State? XXXX XXXX was informed of this when I spoke to them and they referred me to this website. Not sure why... so I am filing this. I also filed fraud with Transition, XXXX and XXXX. I want XXXX XXXX to remove this negative information from my files ( 3 bureaus ). When I spoke to them they said 'oh yes I see this isn't you ' but they don't give me any other information other than the card was mailed to a different address in another state ( good grief ). Why would they do that? That is a red flag! They seemed to know that this was fraud.
