Consumer Narrative

On the afternoon of XX/XX/2022 I took my check from work and deposited it in the Navy Federal Credit Union ATM located on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, AZ XXXX. The check was for a total of {$6400.00} as it was represented on my bank statements. Now, my personal bank is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX but they are branched with Navy Federal so I stupidly decided to deposit my check there instead. That same day, I attempted to withdraw {$1100.00} but later realized the limit was XXXX so I cancelled the transaction and left it for another day. My check was put on hold for two days and finally it was released to me on XX/XX/2022. That very day, I visited the same ATM to withdraw {$500.00}. I did NOT withdraw anything more than that and the amount is posted in my checking statement records. I am confused and honestly APPALLED that Navy Federal would withdraw such a large amount of money, in the sum of {$6400.00} with NO warning or indication as to why it was done, especially without my consent. Please help me figure out why such a large sum was removed from my account as this is causing me mental distress. Thank you.
