I was called over a year ago in XXXX of XXXX after a hospital visit XXXX months prior and was told I owed {$1100.00}. I called the hospital who the debt claimed to be from and they said that my payments were complete and that they had nothing on record saying I owed any money and it may be a scam. A year later in XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed negative marks on my credit score and managed to log into the collectors site. I never received any form of mail or email and no other phone calls. When I called them, I was told they did not send email verifications and that there was nothing to send in the mail since they had already done so many times. I was also told that the majority of the charges were because of late fees, etc. This debt is from another state and I have moved since then but never received any mail or other notifications since.
