Went to dealer to go purchase my new vehicle. I had my own financing from my credit union at 2.25 %. I still had to present a purchase order from the dealer, so my loan could be finalized and they gave me a paper to fill out which had my information. The financial lady comes up to me and tells me that their dealer can get me in at 3 %, and i obviously declined because i was already happy with my own financing. Ok we finish the paperwork and i get my vehicle and im pretty happy about the purchase. But then thats when i see on my XXXX app that the dealer had ran a hard inquiry on my credit. They absolutely did not have my consent nor did they tell me they were going to run it. Why would i even want them to run my credit when i already have a great APR, from my credit union, knowing that they are not going to be able to match it. This was extremely unprofessional of them, and i certainly do not appreciate it.
