My credit card was turned off immediately after I called Capital One to ask for help to dispute charges and simultaneously updated address also. This caused the great inconvenience, as they suspected I was a scammer, and after calling card company I was told my card was turned off because another card was sent out to me since the card I was using was about to expire. I called in to Capital One over a period of 3 days and spoke with eight different people and there was no tangible compensation they could do to me for the inconvenience of immediately shutting off my card and asking me to wait 7 business days for a card to be mailed out to me. There needs to be a better system in place that even if fraud is suspected that it can be verified by the card owner. The card that was mailed the new card that was mailed to me was even returned since I was no longer at that address. I was even told by one person I spoke to that maybe I could get {$100.00} credit. And then another person told me that there's no credit at all they can give. I spoke with a XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. I was given the run around, transferred without resolution. First call was placed XX/XX/XXXX.
