On XX/XX/XXXX I sent XXXX/XXXX/Equifax a letter disputing the validity of the bankruptcy they are reporting on my credit report. They responded stating that they " verified '' this item through XXXX XXXX. I then went to XXXX XXXX to dispute the item in question and XXXX XXXX was not able to verify the bankruptcy, so they deleted it from their database. Then again on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I sent another letter to all 3 credit bureaus and showed them the deleted bankruptcy from XXXX XXXX as well as letter from the courthouse stating they do not report to any agency. The letter is also informing them that if they could not verify how the item was verified, then it needs to be deleted according to the FCRA. Once again, they refused to delete this item which is hindering my ability to purchase a home and causing me to pay thousands more in interest per year. Since XXXX, I either got no response to my inquiries or a generic " account is verified '' with no explanation which I ask them to refrain from. This item needs to be deleted from my credit report if it can not be verified within 30 days.
