Consumer Narrative
My mortgage servicing was recently sold from XXXX to Huntington Bank. I have already filed a written complaint about XXXX ( see complaint XXXX ) Now I am having the same issues/problem with Huntington. My XXXX City Taxes are way past due and should have been paid from my escrow account. I have a TAX LEVY letter in hand that both XXXX and Huntington also have. There is {$22000.00} in my escrow account. The taxes due are about {$11000.00}. Separate from the XXXX experience, this have been my calls with Huntington. I have been fighting with these XXXX companies to pay my PAST DUE TAXES for almost 3 months now. Here 's the latest : XX/XX/XXXX : I notified Huntington of a TAX LEVY letter that I received for unpaid CITY taxes. The representative on the phone assured me that my UNPAID CITY taxes would be paid within a XXXX business days. I was told that my problem would be escalated and that Id get a call back. I never heard back NO CALL BACK XX/XX/XXXX : I called back to confirm that my taxes had been paid and was told no, not yet, I was assured that theyd be paid promptly. XX/XX/XXXX : I called back again to check status. Still unpaid While on the phone, the representative ( XXXX ) indicated to me that the reason that taxes havent been paid because Huntington received a notice that my property was scheduled to be apportioned. I asked her where she got that notice from. She had no idea. She could not find any such notice. Instead, she said it was just in the notes. I then asked her to get my City Tax office on the phone with us, which she did. My city tax department confirmed that they have NO RECORD WHATSOEVER of a pending apportionment. XXXX said that shed note that and escalate it and have someone call me back. This problem carries back to the former loan servicer ( XXXX ). I have been BEGGING both XXXX and now Huntington since XX/XX/XXXX to PAY THE TAXES THAT ARE DUE TO MY CITY immediately. Both have refused to, given me the run around, and broken promise after promise to pay this bill and also to call me back. These are the FACTS : Huntington has a TAX LEVY LETTER from my city The amount of taxes due is CLEARLY STATED on the letter The City had CONFIRMED that there is no pending apportionment And, yet, Huntington still refuses to pay the bill, thus putting me at risk of a TAX LIEN. Again, this issue traces back to the prior service provider and I have been fighting to get this paid since XX/XX/XXXX. Almost 3-months of repeated phone calls, faxes, emails. Navigating phone systems. Having every person tell me they understand my frustration and will get it escalated and taken care of. All for nothing. Its not fixed and I am beyond stressed.
