Congress enacted the FCRA in 1970 to ensure the confidentiality, accuracy, relevancy, and proper utilization of credit reports. 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( b ). I filed a certified dispute with Equifax and it was mailed on XX/XX/XXXX, and Equifax received the letter on XX/XX/XXXX. In this complaint I requested that only my name, XXXX XXXX, be listed on my credit report to reflect accurate reporting and I produced a State issued driver 's license as proof of identification and Equifax is still reporting XXXX XXXX XXXX on my credit report as a former name which could lead to fraud because there are so many XXXX XXXX. I request that this information be removed or masked. This letter also included a dispute of bankruptcy information reported by XXXX, which included a XXXX XXXX Account which is closed which indicates that it is a bankruptcy account. XXXX has no permissible reason to report information, does not have my written consent to report and in fact I have opted-out of XXXX at XXXX twice. The bankruptcy court does not report information to any agency. This is an infringement on my right to privacy and continues to oppress me and is discriminatory. In addition, I mailed a certified letter on XX/XX/XXXX, requesting that Equifax send me the Sources and Report Recipients for Report # XXXX and " Description of Procedures for Reinvestigation '' for XXXX and all other disputed information ; Equifax received this request on XX/XX/XXXX. I received a letter today from Equifax saying that I can request a Description of Procedures for Reinvestigation for the disputes related to report # XXXX. Equifax has five days to provide this information to me and has failed to do so.
