I've contact Barclays Bank Delaware about a specific amount that has been paid and the account has been closed for more than a year. The account shows closed, and the balance was never updated to zero. The balance remains at XXXX. I contacted Barclays and they told me to contact a collection agency. When contacting the collection agency, they tell me to contact Barclay. I have a letter from XXXX, the collection company showing the account was settled on XX/XX/2020. I got the letter from XXXX on XX/XX/2020 and called Barclay again. They still have not updated the balance on my credit report. The amount settled was XXXX. Barclays settled for a lesser amount and sent me a 1099 for XXXX. When I spoke with Barclays, they were aware the account was paid.
