I contacted Penny Mac Mortgage because was getting my house refinanced on XX/XX/XXXX. When I went through the automated to check my insurance dates it said that I had an XXXX home insurance policy and that it was still good. When I called XXXX to get a declaration page for the new bank, they informed me that my policy did not renew in XX/XX/XXXX and they sent XXXX XXXX a letter. Hence, they advised that I was sent XXXX too. I told them during the covid pandemic, last year there was a time I did not get mail. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX back and they advised they received the letter from the insurance company and did nothing. I could not get any insurance no matter where I called due to a lack of coverage for almost a year. After getting insurance from the Virginia Plan which does not include but XXXX in personal property, there is nothing else I could get. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with XXXX XXXX who is a supervisor. She researched everything and advised that her company was liable and that she would reimburse the {$1800.00} that Penny Mac charged me for the lapse in coverage and assist with the personal property coverage. She told me to give her some time and she would give me a callback. After failing to reach her for several weeks, I asked to speak with her supervisor on XX/XX/XXXX and she took my call. She advised that her supervisor approved the request on XX/XX/XXXX and went on for final approval and was denied on XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX XXXX. The reason being is they are not responsible to notify me when insurance is lost.
