I called Finance systems of Toledo in XX/XX/XXXX to ask why they reported the closed/paid collections account on my credit report in XXXX of XXXX when this account was paid and closed XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX but the closed date was updated to XX/XX/XXXX and then XX/XX/XXXX. I was advised by a XXXX that he would give me a call back after he looked into the matter. I looked at my credit report in XXXX of XXXX and they updated this accounts closed date to XX/XX/XXXX. They are reaging the debt by doing this. I reached back out to them and was advised just because you paid the debt does not mean it will be removed. I advised the representative that my issue is with them updating the closed date as if it was just closed. I explained to the representative how this is negatively effecting me and he was very nonchalant and said we cant remove it sir I'm sorry.
