I had gotten behind on my account for almost 6 months, and capital one sent me out emails and letters that said " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Were required to close and charge off this account in less than 30 days if no payment is made. But its not too late to work something out before your payment due date on XX/XX/2022. Our online payment plan tool may let you decide how much to pay so you can get started on your terms. they said I could pay Pay $ XXXX for 3 months Or {$610.00}. So I called in the day before and told a rep that I would be making a quick payment through XXXX XXXX and I would call back with the tracking number. The next day, Sunday, XX/XX/XXXX, I made the payment of {$610.00} thru XXXX XXXX at the XXXX grocery store. Then, I called capital one and no answer so I did a chat with a Capital One Rep name XXXX XXXX, I gave him the control number or tracking number and asked him to document it for me. I followed up the following days to find out that Capital one Lied. Even though, I made the payment they still cut the card off. In addition to that, I received my monthly bill today and a {$38.00} late fee is added to the account when clearly I made the payment on time with documentation to prove it. They gave me a false promise with the intention of cutting the card off all along.
