In XXXX of 2021, my dad, brother and I moved out of a rental property, managed by XXXX XXXX XXXX. Upon leaving, we received charges of over {$3000.00} and they kept our {$1700.00} security deposit, while billing us for the rest. While occupying the house, we had read how criminal this company treats its tenants so we knew to prepare for this. We cleaned, painted, had the carpets professionally cleaned, and did everything the lease asked us to do. While XXXX stressed that we were able to dispute the charges, they never responded to any of our SEVERAL email attempts or voice mails. This was similar to how they treated us during our lease; wed submit receipts for work done on the house and they didnt reimburse or credit anything. The water, sewer and trash utilities were all paid, and XXXX has not provided any statements or proof otherwise. These utilities were controlled by the companys concierge service so they should have access to our statements. As of XXXX, Genesis Credit Management has been contacting all 3 of us and weeks ago I talked to a gentleman named XXXX. He insisted that Genesis would be able to dispute the charges on our behalf and asked me to email him everything he needed, including receipts. I have reached out since that initial email and have also had no contact from Genesis at this point and as I said, its been weeks.
