I went to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/22 to have from and rear brakes and rotors installed. They offered financing through Acima lease services. I applied and was pre-approved for approximately XXXX dollars. I was told the cost would be approximately XXXX dollars. Left the vehicle and was called later in the day and told the bill was over XXXX dollars and part of the reason was because they did an alignment. I informed them you installed tires less than 2 months ago and did the alignment then. I asked you to check it since it was pulling to the passenger side. They said we did the alignment again and you have to pay. I asked is everything already done they said yes. I asked why I was told and asked to sign off the repairs and final cost and was not given an answer. I never approved the charges in writing. I was sent a receipt electronically and got an a paper receipt saying the charge was for installing XXXX new tires. I asked why and was told we have to lie to them they don't pay for what we did. Since my car was effectively held hostage at this point and work was done without being approved in writing I picked up the vehicle after hours. I called Acima the same day explained the situation and was told nothing we can do. I told the person I spoke with you have falsified documents and they did not provide what your documents say they did. I was told it would be sent to their resolutions team but I wouldn't be contacted and nothing can be done. Today I contacted Acima again via online chat. Advised the same basic things and was told about the same thing. I advised I will not be paying since the docs are falsified. I was told they will repossess the property and report me as delinquent if I don't pay. I asked how they can repossess items when their agreement says the agreement was for tires and what was done brake service and parts. The representative abruptly ended the chat and I can not get a transcript.
