Consumer Narrative
I have XXXX on my mortgage. The lender is Huntington Bank. On the lenders mobile app i was informed that I can have XXXX removed if I have 20 % equity in the house. According to the Homeowners Protection Act XXXX must be removed when the balance of the loan drops to 78 %. So I used some savings to pay down the mortgage quickly below the 78 % threshold so that I would no longer need to pay the $ XXXX in XXXX. Huntington is refusing to drop XXXX unless I pay them a fee to drop the XXXX. Huntington needs to drop the XXXX since I have reached 22+ % equity and NOT charge me a fee to drop it.
