On XX/XX/22, I became aware of a hard inquiry on my credit report conducted by Upgrade. That day I spoke with Upgrade who informed me that someone had attempted to take out a personal loan and credit card using my identity. The identity thief was successful in obtaining the credit card and had been utilizing it. I filed a police report with my local sheriffs department and a FTC identity theft report on XX/XX/22 and sent this information to Upgrade per their request. I was told by Upgrade that the accounts would be closed. Upgrade then proceeded to report the credit card on my credit reports which totaled {$10000.00} in racked up charges. I disputed this account on my credit report with XXXX. Upgrade proceeded to deny the dispute and this fraudulent information remains on my credit report. Ive attempted to contact Upgrades claims department via phone and email multiple times with no luck.
