Applied for a refinance with First Centennial Mortgage company in XXXX and submitted all necessary paperwork for the loan. Credit was pulled at the time. Shortly after, received a conditional approval for the loan. To date, I have received no response to my application because underwriting at First Centennial Mortgage requested for a second appraisal on my home. I feel that perhaps I was targeted as a minority ( XXXX ) for the second appraisal review. I would like to see how many others have had to go through a second appraisal process and the mix of ethnicity. My loan officer mentioned that he has never seen a second request for an appraisal review before. There were questions regarding the first appraisal which were answered by the appraiser but now, my application is in limbo. Since then, interest rates have increased and I have NO other communication on my application. I suspect now things fall through.
