I have an issue with PENFED Credit Union. This issue has been going on for over a year and I am getting the run around. Initially, I was alerted through XXXX XXXX of a charge by PENFED for {$10000.00} that I did not recognize. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from PENFED Collections. XXXX, from PENFED, said that they were wanting to collect on an account that supposedly I had co-signed for. She asked if I knew a XXXX XXXX and if I was related. I know of no such person and I never co-signed for anyone. Then she gave me their Fraud Department number of XXXX. I let XXXX know the I have reported Fraud to PENFED, XXXX and the Police Department of the city of XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke to XXXX at PENFEDs Fraud department asking for the status on the case. He was of no help. On XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke to XXXX at PENFEDs Fraud department. She said that she was going to relay a message to XXXX XXXX, the Fraud investigator and ask him to call me. He never did. On XX/XX/XXXX, spoke to XXXX in the Fraud department. All she did was give me a PENFED Fraud department address of XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NE. I mailed at their request the affidavit of FRAUD and Forgery form ( XXXX ). I also attached the XXXX Police Report Form. Per their request, a copy of my photo for identification purposes. We I have not heard from them. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called the Fraud Department ( XXXX ) XXXX ext. XXXX. I spoke to XXXX. He put me on hold and reached out to another Fraud Department processor. Being that the next step is to correct the issue. I never received a letter of Fraud Corrections from PENFED. All that was re-sent were the same forms of the Affidavit of Fraud and Forgery to fill out. It had already been mailed to them on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called and spoke to XXXX. She said she will escalate this matter in the Fraud Department for her Manager to resolve. XXXX said she noted that this issue has been going on for over 1 year and should have been resolved. To this date I have not heard from them through mail or via phone call. It appears that PENFED has bad communications within their own work departments. I am totally being ignored due to their negligence. I dont understand how PENFED approved a loan without confirmation from the supposedly borrower. PENFED is not forthcoming with how the loan was created. Whether it was an on-line approval or at a credit union facility. This has affected my credit ratings negatively. I was once rated over XXXX and now I slightly above XXXX due to this issue.
