I paid my bill on the due date ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and noticed an increase. when I looked at my statement online, I noticed a charge for a shortage. when I called to enquire about it the first person told me I had a reevaluation of escrow, and it was short XXXX dollars. when I asked about how this happen as my loan was modified in XX/XX/XXXX. I was told it was reevaluated in XX/XX/XXXX. And my insurance had increased. My insurance was paid in XX/XX/XXXX, i was XXXX dollars short. After asking to speak to a XXXX, the discussion revolved around my escrow. I was told I basically had to have double the amount of a payment in escrow. I did in XXXX but was told I still had to pay XXXX. An escrow XXXX was placed on the line. He told me I hadn't been paying the full amount of escrow and I was short over for XXXX different time lengths, {$210.00} for XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, {$320.00} for XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, and {$210.00} for XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. I was told after doing a home preservation package and making the required XXXX a month payment for XXXX months, my payment would be XXXX Dollars. I asked different representatives several times if any other charges were required and was told no I was " caught up '' with my new mortgage. I have made the payments in good faith on time since. As far as I can tell i am behind about XXXX dollars. I was told by the escrow expert that home preservation and his dept are different and they didn't get payments from them which is confusing to me. I thought it was the same lender. I was told that it was divided into XXXX monthly payments but this same thing could happen next years and result in more hidden payments so I will always be paying fees I wasn't informed of. during the loan process
