Consumer Narrative
I think around XXXX of XXXX, I noticed my mortgage company, Cardinal Financial, was reporting me as a delinquent account on my credit report of my mortgage amount of {$88000.00}. When I called, they said I owed {$15.00} for escrow or something like that. I paid an extra {$9.00} or {$13.00} to get it taken care of on the phone that day because I wanted it to stop showing up on my credit report. However, it has not disappeared. Here 's the catch- I am in forebearance with Cardinal due to Covid hardship and we are in the process of getting a partial claim applied. In the meantime they continue to report on my credit. Currently the amount is for {$12000.00} which I am guessing is the amount I need applied to my partial claim {$8800.00} plus any payments I have made that they are not processing. That is another phone call to them. I have told them more than twice and had my agent with Cardinal, XXXX, tell them to STOP reporting me on a credit report but they have not complied. 1.They should NOT be reporting me because I am in the process of a XXXX hardship forebearance. 2. The amounts keep changing on my credit report- on XX/XX/XXXX $ XXXX ; on XX/XX/XXXX {$8800.00} ; on XX/XX/XXXX - {$88000.00} ; on XX/XX/XXXX - {$9700.00} ; on XX/XX/XXXX {$10000.00}- which is the difference of my CURRENT mortgage payment that I paid on time! They obviously are not applying my payments to my account, which is another phone call. 3. I am paying my mortgage on time- they should NOT be reporting this on my credit report. How do I get them to STOP reporting my hardship forbearance on my credit report? Perhaps you could help? I am nervous and fed up with them and think they are playing games so they can take my house. But that's another phone call.
