How can I challenge Experians score? ( And others for that matter )? Its impossible to speak to anyone! I even wrote a dispute involving the XXXX credit card to get someones attention, but it hits a brick wall. Can't speak with anyone, get hung up on, and Experian says they are just a monitoring service and say it's XXXX that furnishes the credit score. XXXX says they only use the data furnished by the credit bureaus. The bank ( XXXX ) forwards me to XXXX XXXX which is part of XXXX. Very frustrating... Case : I had an exceptional credit score ( XXXX ) before I applied for a XXXX XXXX Credit card in XXXX XXXX. My credit score dropped XXXX points to ( XXXX ) within 3-4 weeks. Nothing else changed! This negates everything I worked for getting my score up so I can efficiently buy my first home at minimal interest rates. This has bugged me endlessly 5 months. My credit utilization is around 4 %. I dont have a mortgage. My XXXX score is around XXXX. I use this new card 100 % of the time now, but havent closed the old cards. I also pay in full, monthly. Im not sure if the scores will affect my interest rates on a purchase ( s ), but there needs to accountability from such a process by Experian. Using Experians own Credit Score Simulator shows only a XXXX reduction if a credit card is obtained, not XXXX points. I've emailed Experian and XXXX and get canned replies. I finally get someone on the phone ( including managers ) and they state they don't have control or just monitoring services? I'm afraid I've missed a few home purchases because this hasn't been resolved. I've since used experian 's XXXX program to add cellphone, utilities, cable bills to boos the score which helped some. It isn't picking up 2 other bills ( which is another error ). This still didn't explain the score drop. It appears that all 3 credit bureaus are trying to get you to purchase their products as well as XXXX. This appears to be a scam at increasingly alarming rate. This can equate to $ millions if not Billions in extra costs from higher interest rates, for mortgages, car purchases and loans/credit cards due to this credit score that is magically hidden and non-transparent. Experian is owned by a multinational consumer credit reporting company based in XXXX XXXX with a revenue of {$5.00} XXXX for the fiscal year ending XX/XX/XXXX. All 3 Credit bureaus use what is called XXXX yet, all XXXX scores are different. Again, my Exceptional credit score dropped XXXX points for a Rewards credit card that is paid off monthly. I didn't even get out of the gate with it before the drop in score. Im trying to buy my first home without repercussion from the score drop. Your site says there are XXXX complains with only 2 % being addressed just in the last XXXX XXXX years. This is horrible! Congress needs to address this issue!
