I have been working with XXXX since XXXX when I was in a deadly fire. I spent a great deal of time trying to get them to take the car back because I was not working and my husband was XXXX and I had been badly burned and injured. They had agreed to take the car back with no penalties. possibly just a small fee and if it needed detailing, which I had done for them. Somehow all of that information was lost during some switching of loan servicers and I received a letter saying I owed around XXXX. There was suddenly no record of the many conversations with supervisors. The bill has continued to grow and now that I am getting a new mortgage It is damaging my credit report. I loan advisor had asked me to call the collection agency that was the agency for XXXX, XXXX. I called them and discussed a payoff. I told them at one point XXXX said I owed them XXXX so I would pay that amount but I wanted to make sure they would communicate timely with XXXX and show the payoff agreement and cash my check I gave over the phone. I have a recorded conversation saying it would be done right away and on my credit report it would show paid as agreed OR settled in full. The chek took a month to clear. XXXX is not reporting this correctly. One agency it says I owe XXXX. Another says I owe XXXX and I paid XXXX. Another says Charge off XXXX. I have disputed this almost daily with letters of proof of payment and a letter from XXXX showing settled. I have called XXXX and they said it will never say paid in full or XXXX balance and they are not correcting it. I call XXXX almost daily and spend an hour or two while I wait on hold for a supervisor and they come back and ask me to call back another time. I have yet to speak with a supervisor. I have called XXXX and they say its not up t them to fix the credit bureau and its up to XXXX what they want to show on the credit report. This is after a 9 minute recorded conversation. This was very deceptive practice to collect for XXXX and for both of them to tell me it would report settled or paid as agreed with no balance and then not back it up after they received my money.
