I applied for a new credit card with capital one. I applied online. for months capital one was sending me notice that I'm pre-approved for a Quick silver credit card. after applying for the QS card. I was approved and the card was sent to my home with a {$10000.00} credit limit. I activated the card for use attempted to make a small purchase and the credit card was denied. I called capital one to see what the problem is. I was informed by a rep that they need more information from me. I have another credit card account with capital one in excellent standing. they want a copy of my SS card, light bill, and state ID. after complying a few times with their request. they said my state ID. wasn't a good ID. capital one inquired on my credit report after saying it wouldn't go against my credit. I decided, I didn't want the card after the hassle to use it, however I did register a complaint with capital one after they approved me for credit.
