I have paid a {$820.00} settlement on XX/XX/2022 towards an account that was with Fortiva Retail Credit. I have disputed this account with XXXX and Fortiva has refused to update my Credit Report to Legally paid in full for less than the full balance. Yet they just refuse to update my credit report at all. This was what the XXXX representative has told me on my phone call XX/XX/2022 at XXXX. On XX/XX/2022 around XXXX I called Fortiva as I saw the results of my dispute and nothing was changed or updated. The woman on the phone refused to help and kept saying call the 3rd party company that bought my account. I explained this was paid to them ( XXXX XXXX ) and they advised me that Fortiva would handle updating my credit report. Another woman got on the phone also and just kept saying call another company. I asked to speak with the credit reporting department and they refused. XXXX told me they do not update Credit Reports at all. It is Fortiva Retails job and they would. I have paid this responsibility and would like Fortiva Retail Credit to do their job and update my credit report as every other company in America does when you pay off your account. It is hurting my credit score.
