XXXX XXXX XXXX has placed a collection debt on my credit report for what seems to be a home security system for an address I've never lived at nor been to. It is completely fraudulent. I have sent certified letters disputing the collection, as the address is completely foreign to me. Upon recent of my letter, a XXXX representative spoke with me regarding my concerns. The representative stated that the address listed for the home security system was not known or associated with me, ever, nor was it on my credit report. The representative further deceitfully asked me for my address to verify that the account and address on file was not mine. Upon giving the representative my address, she then, unbeknownst to me, updated the account information to reflect MY address and mailed the collection papers to my house. Now the bill has my name and address on it to further their illegal and deceitful attempts to collect a debt for a home system I have never been to, owned, or been associated with.
