Consumer Narrative
Navy federal credit union automatically gave out full amount of funds during the pandemic when the child tax credit was issued. So if my account was over drawn by XXXX they would credit me the amount that was in the negative. I was told in XXXX that i was able to unenroll if I didnt want to continue. I was also told that I would be given the opportunity to start a payment plan once the funds were taken out of my account for repayment in XXXX Then I received a email that the full amount would be taken out in XX/XX/XXXX. And it never happened. Fast forward they did take out the funds of XXXX but it didnt happen till XXXX I was prepared for XXXX. Now I have a negative balance of XXXX and they refuse to allow me the chance to make a payment arrangement. Isnt this predatory banking?
