Quite recently I was perusing my credit reports as I normally do. I came across a few inquiries via all my credit reports, however with this specific issues it was with Equifax. I wrote Equifax ( 4 ) times and call the creditor in question XXXX to highlight them of the situation at hand - an error/fraud per an inquiry on my report which I didn't authorize. However, XXXX decided upon their investigation that it was indeed a fraudulent attempt to gain access to my credit report - which produced an inquiry. I spoke with Equifax 's many representatives, and nothing became of the issue- as they keep telling me via my disputes online and via mail that it was of my own doing. Today XX/XX/2022, Equifax removed the hard inquiry dropping my credit score to XXXX pointsXXXX!!! When I spoke with the agent, she admitted that my scores shouldn't have dropped that drastically and she was going to look into it. Well, she couldn't find any reason and did not resolve the issue. So, instead of my score remaining the same or been placed in a positive. She tried to tell me all the possible reasons why it may have happened - but, that was not the case since all the reasons she mentioned were not in line with how the regulations work or the system itself. I would love to have this item resolved and my scores be placed back within the parameters per their original.
