On XX/XX/22 purchased ( leased ) new BMW XXXX from XXXX XXXX BMW. I showed them the advertisement on https : XXXX no where on the website does it say leases are excluded from receiving the federal tax incentive of {$5800.00} nor did they tell me at the dealership that I would need to buy the car on a purchase not on a lease. In my attempt to resolve this, BMW even admits they keep the federal rebate but they still say " Tax credits are complicated and subject to change without notice. While BMW of North America, LLC does its best to keep this information up-to-date, it can not guarantee the current accuracy of your eligibility. We recommend consulting a tax professional to validate credit availability and eligibility. '' Which is their disclaimer. To me this is false advertising as if BMW knows they keep the rebate from the government how are they doing their best to keep their information updated? Attached is screen shot of the website showing the facts above and my original complaint from XXXX. Ive also attached copy that I have been trying to get this resolved via dealership as well since BMW corp keeps pointing me back in their direction, which I don't understand why as my main issue is with BMW directly as their website is falsely advertising this.
