In XX/XX/2022 I requested a balance transfer from my capital one credit card to my XXXX XXXX credit card. On XX/XX/XXXX, I realized I had used the virtual card number for capital one instead of the actual account number. I called XXXX XXXX to do a stop pay on that paper check. On XX/XX/2022, XXXX XXXX reissued the balance transfer to capital one on my request this was done as an electronic funds transfer and it happened instantly. Both the paper check and electronic fund transfer were for the exact same amounts ( {$2900.00} ). I have called capital one multiple times but they tell me that they have never receive the EFT, and that they only have receive the paper check with the stop pay. I currently have two debts with two different banks for the exact same amount, when I should only owe XXXX XXXX. I have provided capital one with the trace number and my issue has still not been resolved. It is impacting my credit score at this point and I am now at the point where I may need to find a legal representative to resolve this issue.
