I have been working as XXXX XXXX with Department XXXX XXXX in The XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX CA, I have been terminated from my job on XX/XX/2022. When I contacted the XXXX XXXX I told them I want to early terminate my car lease and I want to do so without any penalty as I was in Service as XXXX Civilian. The XXXX company said that I am not covered by this law because I am XXXX Civilian and not considered in XXXX XXXX but I can return my car to the dealer and they take care of the rest and I dont have to worry. Recently the Company sent me a statement that I owe them {$13000.00} as early termination fee. 1 ) The company never mentioned to me that if I returned my car to the dealer, I will be liable for any amount 2 ) I returned the car in perfect shape abd only had 1800 miles on it 3 ) the dealer himself want to buy the car from me and paid {$21000.00} but I didnt accept as I preferred to return the car to the company 4 ) The value of the car provided from the company is far away from the real value of the car and therefore the amount of XXXX is far away from the reality of the car value. 5 ) I lost my job as I mentioned earlier and I am unable to pay anything to the company and I consider the value of the returned car should cover all the expenses and I shouldnt owe the company even a {$1.00}. 6 ) As a previous civilian XXXX I should be protected by the same legislation that protect those in XXXX XXXX 7 ) In my actual situation I am unable to pay anything to the company anyway and as I mentioned earlier the perfect condition of the returned car should cover any additional payment.
