I have two loans with Sallie Mae. On Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX I called them to say that I didn't have the payment ready yet. I asked if I could be taken off their automated calling list and they said they would do that. The next day I get an automated call, and I explain to them that I said on Tuesday that I wished to be placed on the do not call list. They made a note of it and said they would take me off the list. The calls kept coming however, up to today, Saturday the XXXX. They have repeatedly lied to me, by now saying that I should just block their number, or change my phone number on their website. They also said since I live in California, I need to send them a cease and desist, which was never mentioned in the first call. I have never been harassed like I have been dealing with Sallie Mae. I can not afford a lawyer, and my co-signer is my brother in law who does not have the funds either, and in total it has totally our relationship. I don't know what to do other than going into litigation, or straight up calling the police. I told them I don't have the money yet, but I can pay back eventually, but they don't understand, or even care. I'm on the verge of going insane. And I don't know what to do anymore.
