Carmax repossessed our car, after we had been in contact with them often explaining we had lost our employment, and had been struck with crime, but were moving to XXXX XXXX to obtain another position, which we already had. We were just starting XX/XX/XXXX. They agreed to work with us. Instead they came like thrives in the night and repossessed the car, with all our belongings in it. True we were able to get some out the next day while a complete stranger helped us, but thereafter the rest of our belongings went with the car. We were now without any way to get around but by bus and no way to get the rest of our belongings. Carmax is lying! And cutting off their nose to spite their face. How does it help to take a car away from people who have new employment and need a car to get there where theyll earn money to pay Carmax? Also we were never informed that we had purchased an XXXX XXXX XXXX. Carmaxs way to charge more obviously. We also never asked for such. So Carmax lied by omission. The car broke down in XXXX, XXXX and we had to have the Radiator Replaced by XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX by XXXX ; the charge was about {$500.00}. We have requested the receipt, from around XX/XX/XXXX but dont have it yet. Also we informed Carmax about this problem with the car soon after it happened. They never informed us then about the Extended Service Plan. Another lie by Carmax, is that the XXXX in the car was bad and they lost money in selling the car. Not true, the car drove perfectly ; we know what a bad transmission is. Not to mention the car was checked out by the mechanic in XXXX. Again this receipt is forthcoming. Also I have learned that Carmax can not charge us for the car after they repossessed it unless they sell it for less, and though they say there was all these things wrong with it, its not true. They are lying. They may of sold the car for less, but their reason for doing so was to garner interest from continuing to charge us. At the very least Carmax is unethical, dishonest and corrupt. I have reported Carmax to other consumer outlets. If I can be instrumental by keeping just one family from buying a car from corrupt Carmax I will feel Ive done something good for society.
