Consumer Narrative
XXXX XXXX I signed up for a membership to XXXX XXXX for {$42.00} a month. The next day I tried to contact them to cancel my membership due to the fact that visits were extremely limited and reservations were required for limited time blocks due to the pandemic. This was not explained when I signed up. I tried calling several times leaving voicemails with my information and the reason I was calling. I did not receive a call back or any response. I called the corporate office to see if maybe they could do anything but I was told I needed to go through guest relations. So I emailed them and finally received a response back on XX/XX/XXXX, with a case number XXXX. I waited a week to hear back from them but no one contacted me. I emailed them a couple more times and finally received another email from them with a different case number XXXX. Again I waited for a response. By this time my credit card was charged once again for a service I wasnt using. I emailed them again on XX/XX/XXXX and informed them payments would be stopped since XXXX XXXX received a response from them. Still no response. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX received an email from XXXX XXXX requesting I contact them about payment to my account, HOW!! The next email I received was XX/XX/XXXX, asking me to contact guest relations because they needed my help to update payment information. I attempted to call WITH NO response. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from CACi stating my account had been turned over to them for collections. I emailed them to dispute the validity of the collection XXXX. No response from them as well. I called CACi and spoke with a representative and explained the situation to him. He said they received my email and sent an email to me but it was an incorrect email. How is that possible when I emailed them from my email address?? So he updated my email and told me they would get back with me. I never received an email, phone call or letter in the mail from them with a response. Then XX/XX/2022, I noticed a new collection on my credit reports from Consumer Adjustment for the amount of {$610.00}. WHAT!! How is this even legal. And where did they come up with that sum?? Now I have been back and forth with all three credit bureaus for the past XXXX months disputing this collection. I have submitted documents and called the credit bureaus without resolve. Please help me to resolve this matter and remove this collection from my credit reports.
