I bought a Vanilla Visa Gift Card in late XX/XX/XXXX and loaded the card with {$500.00}. I'm located in Massachusetts, I bought the card in Massachusetts and I did not leave Massachusetts during the time of this issue. Immediately after I bought the card, someone made charges on it at a number of stores including a XXXX XXXX XXXX and a XXXX in XXXX XXXX that totaled more than {$400.00}. Once I noticed the transactions, I notified Vanilla and they closed the card. I can't even access the transaction history for the card now. As a result of these fraudulent transactions, I have not been able to use any of the {$500.00} XXXX put on the card I submitted a dispute packet to Vanilla Gift Card on XX/XX/XXXX and resubmitted it on XX/XX/XXXX. Vanilla acknowledged receipt of my dispute packet on XX/XX/XXXX and told me I should expect a " complete resolution within 90 days '' of XX/XX/XXXX. Despite this promise, they have not responded to my dispute. Moreover, I have emailed several times seeking information ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. XXXX, XXXX ) about my dispute and they have not responded. I also called Vanilla Gift Card on XXXX. XXXX and I was on hold for over an hour and no one answered. When this card was sold to me and loaded it is clear someone had already stolen the number and was just waiting for money to be added to the card to drain it. Vanilla should fix this situation, yet they will not respond to my dispute.
