I paid off the debt in a settlement with the company, Bay Are Credit Service, formerly with XXXX XXXX XXXX. It was for two ambulance bills totaling {$400.00}. I called them to settle and we paid I believe {$220.00}. I cant search for the paperwork right now because my husband just died in XXXX and I have had XXXX for three months. It was off of our credit report for a long time and last year started showing up on our report again. I started protesting it through XXXX and XXXX last year and I keep getting back that the debt collector states it is a valid debt. I havent called the company because I know that if I call them it will be on my credit report longer. It is harming my credit. To have this on there and I definitely cant afford to pay it off. I am so frustrated that they arent doing what they are supposed to do and live up to their end of the bargain as I did.
